Jim Rubish - IBM

TSANet Treasurer - Jim is the Director of Enterprise Systems Technical Support in the IBM Systems business unit. He has 30-plus years of experience at IBM, and currently leads a world-wide organization whose mission centers around providing lab support for IBM's enterprise servers. His teams provide HW and SW technical support, resolve complex issues, and maximize the client’s satisfaction with their IBM servers.

During his 30-plus year tenure with IBM, Jim has held various technical and management leadership positions within IBM's server divisions.  He has experience with hardware and software development, systems performance analysis, client care leadership, and various technical support leadership roles.

Jim's experience with technical support spans both the hardware and software support disciplines.  His leadership responsibilities include operating system support and hardware support for IBM's Enterprise Server product lines.  His teams solve complex technical problems, work with clients in maximizing availability of their server solutions, and provide ongoing development feedback for improvements in future server designs.  Among Jim's technical support roles, he led a support mission which received several TSIA (formerly SSPA) STAR awards and ultimately the Hall of Fame award for technical support in 2007.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and is PMP certified.
