This week in Munich Germany, TSANet sponsored the TSE Europe event and held an EMEA member meeting. This provided an opportunity to share the importance of multi vendor support and network with some of the world’s top technology companies.
During 2013 TSANet expanded activities in Europe, by providing more value to our existing Europe members and increasing awareness of TSANet to companies in Europe who are not TSANet members. To form the foundation of our Europe efforts we added Rainer Zielonka to the TSANet team and formed a Europe focus group to help guide our efforts in Europe. Our Europe activities continue in 2014 with some key events and milestones planned.

IBM hosted the TSANet board of directors and other member companies for a review of the strategy implementation status and plans for 2014. Topics included Case Exchange, Member Web and Knowledge and Training exchange.
TSANet (Technical Support Alliance Network), the industry’s largest vendor-neutral support alliance, announces that Rene Karel, Senior Partner Support Program Manager, was appointed to the TSANet Board of Directors. Rene was appointed to fill a vacant seat by a unanimous vote of the existing Board.

The service and support industry has never supported a strong quantity of shows. With travel budgets scrutinized, the support industry focuses on one general area: How can we provide better support to our customers? The 2013 TSW Vegas show managed to pull in over 1,000 attendees and was one of the best in recent years. You could argue that you should attend TSW because it’s the only major trade show in in the support industry. However, TSANet attends for several reasons.

So what is trending at the TSIA show? Yes, the classic revenue source of product-based support maintenance services are drying up. We’ve heard that before but, where it’s not unlike prior data points made about consumption based models transforming the traditional service models, there’s another trend I’ve not heard before.
